My thoughts today...

Growing up, I never shared a bedroom (thank God!!!) and I didn't want my boys to have either although my brothers were best buddies and roommates growing up. With 2 bedrooms and 2 kids we didn't have to worry about that! But now, we have a 3rd baby coming!

So since we are have another bundle of joy arriving in less than 2 months (!!) and Andrew is still a bit young to be on the 3rd floor by himself, the next logical solution was for the boys to share a bedroom for at least a year or so.

So far the room sharing seems to be working to our advantage. Korey used to read books to each of the boys till at least Patrick fell asleep in his room and then sometimes would come read to Andrew after (if Andrew was still awake after I read to him and Korey was done with Patrick)...now Korey reads them a couple of stories together and leaves! Then the boys use the StoryReader and it reads them a story. I walked in tonight to see them sitting on Andrew's bed together listening to Scooby Doo! So cute.

I am glad this is working out!!! And of course I do hope they will be best buddies!

I shared a room with a sister or two until high school and those are some of our best childhood memories. My sister Kelli and I spent countless hours talking and laughing when everyone else was sleeping:)

okay, so this theory may not really hold any validity - but I didn't share a room at all with ANYONE until I went to college and I am not really sure if I am a good roommate (hence me living alone and having multiple roommates move out). This, of course, does not make me a good person but it made me think that had I shared a room w/ my brother longer (probably different because of the difference in sex, but you know what I mean). I may have learned how to cohabitate with someone. Just a thought.
