Why haven't I been posting lately? That is because since Thursday night my computer hasn't been working. I brought to CC to get it fixed since Korey bought the 'service plan' that was supposed to 'cover anything including accidental damage'....of course the first thing I am told is that it won't cover 'software issues' like the 'data migration' it will have to have to recover all that is lost off the computer.
Since I have pics from Dec 07 (when I got the computer) till now and all my school board stuff, other excel sheets, OF COURSE I have to pay the $100 to have it 'recovered'....so they promise me it will be done Friday afternoon, oh nope--now Sat am, nope--now Sat night--nope, Sunday. AGAIN NOT READY. So tomorrow I will have to call these losers for an update. Today I told them that I have a friend will never buy a computer from Best Buy again. Well well well, I am at the point with CC.
At the very least, I will be going in 'whenever the hell my computer is ready' to talk to the managers and complaining till I get SOMETHING for my time, phone calls, gas, aggravation.
Till then, I wil be writing to you from our old computer which is infected with something and slow as molasses.....

I hope you've been able to accomplish something by talking to them. So much for a "warranty". They really should be upfront about the terms of their "warranties".

i use carbonite and it's $50 a year and they back up everything on your system every day...when something like this happens, all you have to do is call them and voila!
i have too many pics i would die if I ever lost them. you should look into it.
I felt the same way about CC for a LONG while. In fact, I haven't bought anything from them in forever! I can't stand Best Buy either. Hmmm...That puts me in quite the pickle, eh?
Thanks for your comment on my blog. I've had dsl and cable before, but I now live in the country. The only thing that comes out here is dial up, and I no heart it. I finally found a wireless company that will service this area. So...I'll just have to get my internet fixes at work. (I can feel the shakes coming on already.) ;)
What a pain. We have had not so good luck with these big-box stores too. Eventually they fixed the laptop, but after a long time and a lot of phone calls. Good luck getting it back!
