I am eating some tasty waffles with real maple syrup so that inspired my poll questions. I also just saw the box of Bisquick that says: 'to maintain freshness, refrigerate after opening'
Never seen that before, nor have I ever done that!
I am looking at ocean front homes in NC for a possible vacation for the Ferland Five in later summer. HMM!
Have you ever driven 12-15 hours with kids? Have you stayed on beach in this area?

YES!! We do 18 hour drives everytime we go to TN or SC. We try to stop places that the kids can get out and run around. DVD player helps, as well as I pack a backpack for each child in the car. I hide a few things in there, and some favorite toys.
We stayed at the beach in SC... the water is sooooooooooo warm down that way - very nice!! Good choice for a vacation spot!!
Scott & Heather took Hannah to the beach in NC this spring. I can't remember which beach though...you'll have to ask her. We got a beach house last August in Foley, SC. It was terrific! Right on the beach...plenty of room. Nice! We may do that again next summer.
When we've traveled any length of time, we've taken a portable DVD player with two screens and headphones. That way, we don't have to hear it in the front seat, and they can watch or not watch as they want. PLUS, with the headphones, they won't miss any of the sound of the movie/s.
