Swirled Holiday Snowball Cookies

3 sticks butter, softened (I put in microwave for 30+ seconds)
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt (I omit since butter has salt)
3 cups flour
1 2/3 cups (1 10 oz. pkg) Nestle Swirled Holiday Morsels ***
1/2 cups finely chopped nuts (I used pecans or walnuts)
powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Beat butter, sugar, extract and salt until creamy. Gradually add flour. Stir in morsels and nuts. Shape in balls about 1 1/4 inch. Put on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 10-12 minutes (I do 10) till cookies are set and lightly browned. Sift powdered sugar on them (they say when they are hot and then again later; I just do when they are cool).

You can freeze these. If you are freezing, don't put powdered sugar on them till you take them out of freezer.

***Since the holiday morsels are gone (they are red/white and green/white), you can use white chocolate morsels or try with other colors/flavors.

Enjoy!
