She posted a nice picture of her dad.
For those that don't know, I am in NC because my uncle passed away. I was thinking about him last night and what word I could use to describe him and I came up with 'witty'....he was just always smiling (and that is something I heard a coworker of his say last night) and had something witty to say. I just picture him smiling with a drink in one hand and a cig in the other.
I will also share this...I love this story and I heard my dad tell it several times last night. My dad was in Fort Sill graduating from Officer Candidate School and my grandmother Nonna went there to see him. Apparently she didn't want to leave Aunt Doreen behind so she came as well. My dad's friend Bill was also graduating and asked my dad why he was letting his date dance with all the other officers. My dad said to Bill--that's not my date! That's my sister! So Uncle Bill cut in and danced with Aunt Doreen the rest of the night. They wrote letters when UBill went to VietNam and when he came home, he went to Boston instead of going home to see his parents. So sweet.
I will remember this story and his smile always.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your uncle looked like someone who enjoyed the world immensely.
I did check out LeeAnn's blog. So sad, he looked like a very nice man. I hope that memories eventually bring joy.
