And the Winner is...

No I am not talking about the Giants!

I am talking about the winner for the Worst Road Ever. I just decided to go down a road in our town while I had a screaming child with me in an attempt to get him to sleep. UMM I picked the wrong road for that.

The lucky recipient of the Worst Road Ever and thereby wins a flat tire prize is KENNARD ROAD. Up till today, I thought the WRE was Deerfield Rd but alas Kennard Rd played to WIN! I actually had to stop the vehicle because my van was slamming the pot holes so bad.

So to you, Kennard, we salute you and say: good luck on selling those houses on your road!

I have not been driving around much, since I have been home sick now, for goodness, how many days??? But will have to try out Kennard Road.

This weather has been horrible with the ice and snow. Hey lets talk about that nightmare last night call the Giants winning, and the Pats loosing. I still am not over the loss. But hearing about Kennard Road has made me laugh!

I live on Kennard Road, not the tar end by Freeman-Hall Road, but the dirt end, by Smoke Street. Neither way is very good. I work in Northwood and like to home the peaceful, scenic way on Kennard Road (by the way, I am a Kennard!), but during the winter the bumps are soooo bad, I am forced to take Route 4 as the peaceful way home. Not as scenic, but I am not carsick by the time I get home, either.

Thanks so much for bolstering my cause. I live on the Tarred portion you refer to, and was crushed to hear the town powers (Selectboard and their administrator) determine that the 2008 road project priorities would be shifted away from Kennard Road and onto Deerfield Road. If that happens, I will appeal to have my tax card adjusted to reflect the Class VI way on which I now seem to reside.

By the way, I invite you and everyone else to attend the Public Hearing of the Budget Committee for the discussion of the Town Budget. Perhaps if they heard from others we could get some action where it's needed.
